12-1 Franks Watching revels in the rain
Franks Watching won the $15,000 Open I Handicap trotting feature at Batavia Downs on Monday. The weather was bad, but Franks Watching enjoyed the race. Mary Warriner owns the Ryan Swift trained troter.
Fisher and Swift won with Lougazi. Batting Stats tripped out behind the front running Big Box Hanover and won by a neck in 1:58.4. Dave McNeight III and Kevin Cummings both had driving hat tricks. The Jackpot Super Hi-5 pentafecta was hit in the 11th race and returned $3,089 for a 20-cent wager. Denny Bucceri won the Labor Day driver’s bicycle race despite the poor weather conditions.
