The biggest weekend of the Belmont Park fall meet’s calendar is this Saturday, September 28, 2019. This year's theme is “quality over quantity” because the field sizes might be small, but the talent level is top-notch. Several high-end horses will enter the gates in hopes of showing enough to convince their connections to go to the Breeders‘ Cup.

Imperialhint is the favorite in the $300,000 Vosburgh Stakes, 3YO+, 6 Furlongs (Dirt). Luis Carvajal, Jr. is training him for the race.

#1 Midnight Bisou (2/5) is unbeaten in 2019 and is a favorite to win the Eclipse Award for Older Female. She is already qualified for the Breeders’ Cup Longines Distaff after winning the Personal Ensign Stakes at Saratoga.

Pilgrim Stakes (G3), 2YO, 1 1/16 Miles (Turf), takes place at Belmont Park on Saturday. #7 Structor (5/2) is the favorite, while No Word (3/1) has the top pick.

Code of Honor is the morning line favorite for the Jockey club's top race, the $750,000 Jockeying Club Gold Cup Stakes (G1), 3YO+, 1 1/4 Miles. The 3-year-old pupil of Shug McGaughey has done well in both starts at this distance, having placed second in the Kentucky Derby ( G1).
