Miami Heat were the NBA Southeast Division champions last season. They return their core this season, except for PJ Tucker. Bam Adebayo is their most important player. The team is going to be a playoff team again.

The Atlanta Hawks have made the biggest step forward of any team in the Southeast Division this offseason. Dejounte Murray and Trae Young will form one of the best backcourts in NBA. The Hawks are the most valuable team to win the division at +170 and are an attractive over bet on 45.5 wins.

Charlotte Hornets stand pat after a 43-win season. They return Lamelo Ball, Terry Rozier, Gordon Hayward, Kelly Oubre and PJ Washington. Miles Bridges is a question mark due to legal issues. The Hornets are an attractive over bet.

The Washington Wizards have a good team with Bradley Beal, Kristaps Porzingis, Kyle Kuzma and a lot of role players. Will Barton is an adequate starter. The team has had injury problems in the past.

Orlando Magic had a disappointing 22-win season last year. They have a lot of young talent, but their win total is set at 26.5. They are not likely to make the playoffs this season, however, they will improve.
