The American League West is a division with a lot of intrigue. The Houston Astros have won four of the last five division titles. Los Angeles Angles and their MVP candidates Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani are the perennial favorites. Seattle Mariners are projected to finish second in the division in 2022. Texas Rangers made a big splashes in free agency, signing Corey Seager and Marcus Semien.

The Los Angeles Angels have failed to win 85 or more games in every season since 2015. Mike Trout is injured a lot and the team lacks pitching depth.
