2022 MAC Football Week 1 Game Preview: Central Michigan Chippewas at Oklahoma State Cowboys

The Central Michigan Chippewas and the Oklahoma State Cowboys are playing each other in the first game of the 2022 MAC Football season. The last time the two teams met on the field was on September 10th, 2016, when the Chips won. Both teams are looking to get their 2022 campaigns off on a good note.

OKST graduated their top receiver and top running back to the NFL in offseason. However, they have a number of promising players, including Brennan Presley, Dominic Richardson, John Paul Richardson and Blaine Green.

Central Michigan Chippewas are looking to replace one of the most balanced lineups on both sides of football. Lew Nichols III is the heart of CMU's offense, while Daniel Richardson is their starting quarterback. The Cowboys are a very good defense, coming in as the 18th best rushing defense in the country and third-best in MAC.  Oklahoma State Cowboys have won the last two games against the Chips. They have also won in each of their last three games. Oklahoma State won on the road in 2011. Central Michigan won by a score of 32-3.
