2022 Season Preview: Emil Bemstrom
Emil Bemstrom was given a two-year contract extension this summer. He is a winger who has played 117 games for the Blue Jackets. Bembstrom is still a developing player, but he has been a good find for them. He has struggled to find his game in North America. Drake Batherson has more games played than Bebemstom. The OTT player has also more points than him.
Emil Bemstrom scored 6 goals last season. He should focus on shooting the puck more. Bembstrom has missed a lot of time early in his career due to injuries. His best bet for ice time is as a two-way forward on the fourth line.
2022-23 Expectation: Show everyone you can play in the NHL. Bemstrom reminds me a lot of David Perron in his development curve. Peron was a bit of a late bloomer offensively, but he's always been a consistent two-way player with a high-end shot.
