2023 Fantasy Hockey Team Previews: Florida Panthers

2023 DailyFaceoff Fantasy Hockey Projections has projected stats for over 650 skaters and goalies. The Fantasy Team Previews have all the projections for that team and mini-bios for all relevant skater and goalie. Daily Faceoff is previewing all 32 NHL teams for 2022-23.

Barkov's fantasy season was cut short due to injury for the third straight year. He finished in the top 20 in points, goals, and plus/minus. The Finnish star has yet to surpass 40 goals or 100 points in his nine NHL seasons on the Panthers.

Matthew Tkachuk was the main piece of the biggest blockbuster deal of summer that saw Jonathan Huberdeau leave Calgary for Florida. T kachuck is signed to a fresh 8-year, $76-million contract. He had a career year in Calgary, scoring 104 points and 42 goals.

Sam Reinhart was drafted No.2 overall in 2014. He surpassed the 30-goal mark for the first time in his eight-year career. Reinham's 82 points were good for 27th best in the NHL.

Aaron Ekblad finished sixth in goals (15), ninth in points (57), and fifth in shot volume (7.1%). He has scored double-digit goals every season but one in his eight-year career. Ek blad plays for the Panthers, who are leading the league in scoring and have a top five power-play (24.4% PP%).

Carter Verhaeghe is fresh off of a 55-point season. He played next to Aleksander Barkov on the top line in the OHL and the AHL. Verhagghe has a high shooting percentage.

Sam Bennett scored 28 goals in 2021-22 season. He also had seven game-winning goals. Bennett enjoyed a 22-game stretch from late December to early March. Huberdeau and Tkachuk played together for 65 percent of Bennett's 5v5 ice-time last season, so the loss of Huerdeur will affect his fantasy team. Anton Lundell is also looking for more playing time.

Anton Lundell finished his rookie season fifth in rookie points (44), sixth in goals (18), fifth on the game-winning-goals (4), and first in plus/minus (+33). He played on one of the hottest third lines in the NHL last season. He's a great dynasty piece but needs an expanded role to have re-draft value early in his sophomore season, as he's likely to find himself in a similar top-9 role.

Gustav Forsling is a good option to replace Mackenzie Weeger on the Panthers' top defensive pair. He had a breakout season last year, scoring 37 points and adding 10 goals. Ekblad is the main roadblock to more power-play time for Forslings.

Bobrovsky won 39 games last season, which tied him for the most in the NHL. He's in a contract with the Florida Panthers. Bobroversky is 33 years old and has a good chance to be a top-10 fantasy goalie.

Spencer Knight was drafted above Sergei Bobrovsky in most fantasy hockey leagues after the 2021-22 fantasy draft. He played in 10 games last season and had a .908 SV% and two shutouts.
