2023 Zurich Classic Picks & Odds: Cantlay, Schauffle Favored

Xander Schauffele and Patrick Cantlay cruised to a win here at the Zurich Classic a year ago and now return with their sights set on defending their title. As such, it's no surprise to see them sitting atop the odds board at +400 — read more below.

Next up on the PGA Tour calendar is the one and only team event: the Zurich Classic at TPC Louisiana.

It's a pretty lax week for everyone involved, but there are a couple of heavyweight pairings at the top of the odds board, including defending champions and this week's betting favorites Patrick Cantlay and Xander Schauffele.

We break down their chances and more in our Zurich Classic betting preview below, including outright odds, free golf picks, and more.

Zurich Classic field and favorites

As mentioned at the onset, the defending champion pairing of Patrick Cantlay (OWGR No. 4) and Xander Schauffele (No. 5) is the team to beat this week and the odds reflect that, listing them as heavy +400 favorites. The two finished third and fourth, respectively, at Harbour Town over the weekend.

Second on the board is the California pairing of Max Homa (No. 7) and Collin Morikawa (No. 13) at +850, but beyond that, this field opens up rather quickly.

At 14/1, Sungjae Im and Keith Mitchell are the best of the rest, while Presidents Cup teammates Si Woo Kim and Tom Kim sit at 16/1, and last year's runner-up pairing of Sam Burns and Billy Horschel (also the 2018 champ with Scott Piercy) round out the Top 5 at +1,800.

After winning the RBC Heritage last week, Matt Fitzpatrick is making his debut here alongside his younger brother Alex — they sit sixth on the odds board at +2,200.
