2025 college football national championship odds: Georgia favored

The reign of the Wolverine has begun, and it’s time to start thinking about who could wrestle the title away from Ann Arbor next season.

FanDuel has again installed the Georgia Bulldogs as favorites to win the 2025 college football national championship with +350 odds.

This is the third consecutive season the Bulldogs have been favored since they ended the Alabama Crimson Tide’s string of dominance at the top of the oddsboard.

But Nick Saban’s bunch isn’t far behind as the second favorite at +550.

Alabama went to six of seven national title games from 2016-’22, winning three titles.

A bit of distance separates the two SEC powers from the pack, as Ohio State comes in third with +800 odds, followed by Texas at +850.

The reigning national champions have the fifth-best odds at 10-1, while the runner-up, Washington, is expected to regress next year with its 50/1 odds.

The USC Trojans are sitting at 35/1, the 13th-best odds among all teams.

Surely, USC expected to be higher up the board when it brought in coach Lincoln Riley from Oklahoma.

He has mostly flopped so far in southern California, having wasted a Heisman-winning season in 2022 from Caleb Williams and his ensuing 2023.

Williams is expected to go No. 1 overall in the 2024 NFL Draft, while Riley stands alone as Hollywood boosters breathe down his neck, waiting for a flameout.

Not listed in the top 30 above is Deion Sanders’ group in Colorado.

The Colorado Buffaloes are 300/1 to win the national championship, despite having brought in 19 transfers so far, including five offensive linemen with at least three-stars, according to 247Sports.

After a 28-16 loss to the UCLA Bruins, Sanders declared he needed to get new offensive lineman in order to compete at the highest level.

“The big picture, you go get new linemen,” Sanders said. “That’s the picture, and I’m gonna paint it perfectly.”
