$500 second chance bet on football this weekend

While Unibet might not be the largest name in the sports betting industry, they are making a mark on the landscape in the state of Pennsylvania. They have plenty of unique offerings and their new sign-up bonus is certainly a great way for bettors to get involved with Unibet. Simply sign up and place your first bet worth up to $500. If your bet loses, Unibet will give you a second chance in the form of a bonus bet refund. If you’re unfamiliar with Unibet, we’ve done a deep dive and created an in-depth review of what they offer.

Believe it or not, we’ve already surpassed the midway point of the college football season. We’re approaching that mark in the NFL as well. We spend all summer waiting for football season and then it goes by in the blink of an eye. The midway point is a great time to add a sportsbook to the rolodex and make sure you’re taking advantage of all promotions and offers available to you.

Getting a second chance in life is certainly appreciated, but definitely not guaranteed. Unibet is a believer in second chances, as they’ve shown with their latest sign-up offer for new users. If you’re a PennLive reader who has yet to sign up with Unibet, simply follow these steps to claim a second-chance bet worth up to $500 should your original bet lose.

  1. Enter promo code “SBPENN-LIVE” to activate the offer.
  2. Fill in all necessary information to confirm your identity and create your account.
  3. Download the Unibet app onto your phone.
  4. Deposit money into your account using any of the available funding methods.
  5. Place your first bet on any bet with minimum odds of -250.

If your first bet with Unibet is a winner, life is great. You can claim your winnings and either withdraw the money or keep betting. However, if your first bet is a loser, Unibet will credit your account with a bonus bet equal to the amount of your first wager, with a maximum of $500.

Bonus bets must be used within 30 days of issuance or they will expire. Bonus bets must be wagered one time before they convert to cash balance and can be withdrawn. Both the original wager and all wagers made with bonus bets must be made with minimum odds of -250 (example: -225, -120, +115). Make sure to .

We are somehow already onto Week 9 of the college football season. We’re about a month away from discussing college football playoffs, conference championships and bowl games. In the meantime, now is a great time to . Here are three of the top games on this weekend’s schedule:

  • Georgia vs. Florida: Played at a neutral site in Jacksonville, this game has been played every year since 1926 outside of a war interruption in 1943. Dubbed as the “World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party,” the series has been rather one-sided in recent years. Georgia has won five of the last six meetings and are 14.5-point favorites on Saturday. Florida has never pulled off an outright upset as an underdog of two touchdowns or more, going 0-17 in the process.
  • Oregon vs. Utah: It seems like the world is preparing for a rematch of Washington-Oregon in the Pac-12 Championship Game, but we know Utah loves sending the Pac 12 into a world of chaos on an annual basis. No matter who starts at quarterback, Rice-Eccles Stadium is a dangerous place to play a road game. Don’t be surprised if Utah keeps this close even with a “pig farmer” at quarterback. Oregon is a 6.5-point road favorite.
  • Ohio State vs. Wisconsin: There’s still a lot to be decided on both sides of the Big 10, including the massive Ohio State vs. Michigan matchup yet to come. However, it’s certainly a realistic possibility that this could be a preview of the Big 10 Championship Game. Can Ohio State avoid the letdown after a massive win over Penn State last weekend? The Buckeyes are 14.5-point road favorites.

The NFL season is approaching its midway point, which means it’s a good time to stop and take a look at what we’ve learned. Unfortunately, this league produces wild results on a weekly basis so it’s hard to even do that. Here are three games we have an eye on this weekend:

  • Jets @ Giants: These teams meet every four years in the regular season which makes it a rare event. Bragging rights are on the line in the state of New York and it’s also a pretty big game for both teams. The Giants have shown flashes of life in recent weeks, but they’ll need to go on a pretty big winning streak if they want to recover from their dreadful start. The Jets are right in the thick of things in the AFC. Can Zach Wilson keep them afloat? The Jets are 3-point road favorites in their own home stadium.
  • Texans @ Panthers: The Carolina Panthers decided to go with Bryce Young over C.J. Stroud back in April at the NFL Draft. These two names will always be linked together and they meet for the first time on Sunday. Stroud has certainly had the stronger start to his NFL career and that’s highlighted by the fact his Texans are 3-point road favorites in this one. Is Bryce Young motivated to show the world why he was the top pick?
  • Bengals @ 49ers: When we saw this game on the schedule, we knew it would be a good one. It somehow might have gotten even more compelling in the past few weeks. The Bengals started off slow, but won three of four to get to 3-3 entering their bye week. The 49ers started 5-0, but have lost two straight to good, but not great competition in Cleveland and Minnesota. Brock Purdy looks to be unavailable, so the 49ers will likely turn to Sam Darnold. Some had this as a potential Super Bowl matchup in the preseason. It might still turn out that way. The 49ers are 3.5-point home favorites despite turning to their backup quarterback.
