As a team, the 76ers shot 45 percent from the field and 11 of 37 from the 3-point line as they poured in 34 points in the third quarter to lead by as many as 18 points, before they held off a late rally from the Mavericks who exploded for 40 points in the fourth quarter.

The Nets were able to earn three wins in four games before last night's demoralizing loss to the severely shorthanded Grizzlies, but I still don't trust them and am not surprised that they're underdogs at home. The 76ers are playing well below their best, but they should still have more than enough to get past this inconsistent Nets team playing on zero days' rest.
