After busy couple years, stepping back from the game for a while, announces Meg Lanning

Meg Lanning has decided to give up cricket for the immediate future. She has been captain of Australia's women's team for 12 years. Lannings has represented the Kangaroos in 230 games, accumulating over 8,000 runs while averaging 53.13 in ODIs. She helped Australia to a World Cup and three World T20s. Her team won the Commonwealth Games gold medal. The 30-year-old will miss the upcoming edition of The Hundred and the international summer games. It is not clear if she will continue to play domestic games as well.
