The Alabama Crimson Tide and Texas Longhorns kick off the most highly anticipated non-conference matchup of the 2023 season this Saturday in Bryant-Denny Stadium. The Tide survived in Austin, TX last year by a score of 20-19 with a Will Reichard game-winning kick with only 10 seconds to go. Both teams enter the matchup 1-0 and will both likely be ranked in the top 10 with major College Football Playoff implications.

Advice and prediction
The best bet here is to take Under 56.5 points. In 2022, they combined for only 39 total points and that game included three top-12 offensive picks in the 2023 NFL Draft between Bryce Young, Jahmyr Gibbs and Bijan Robinson. I think both defenses are solid and both Quinn Ewers and Jalen Milroe are relatively unproven in a game of this magnitude.
Prediction: Alabama 31, Texas 24
