Alexander Zverev is the third seed here at the 2023 Geneva Open and is ranked 27th in the world. The German is finally showing signs of life after a terrible run of form since returning from injury. After a straight sets win over Chris Eubanks in the Round of 16 he was leading Wu 4-1 before his opponent retired. What was good to see was that he was serving well, being aggressive and hitting the ball very early and cleanly. This is a very good sign, and it seems like he finally has regained his confidence. A confident and aggressive Zverev is one of the very best players in the world, and he will be gunning for this title to prove that he is back once and for all. 

Nicolas Jarry is unseeded here at the 2023 Geneva Open and is ranked 54th on the ATP Tour. The big Chilean has been phenomenal this week, upsetting top seed and defending champion Casper Ruud in three sets in the Quarter-Finals. When Jarry serves well he is a handful on any surface, and he used his backhand to great effect in the match against Ruud. His confidence will be very high and even though his Semi-Final opponent Alexander Zverev has the much higher pedigree and upside, Jarry knows that he is vulnerable at the moment. 

Even though he has been completely untrustworthy over the past few months, I am backing Alexander Zverev here. I am a huge fan of his game and now that he is looking confident and playing with swagger I think that he will soon return to the top 10. Nicolas Jarry has had a fine week but he won't go any further, with Zverev winning here in straight sets, advancing to the Final at the 2023 Geneva Open.
