Annemiek van Vleuten questions retirement plans after worlds victory: 'Sometimes I have doubts'

Annemiek van Vleuten is reconsidering her retirement plans after her victory at the Wollongong road worlds. The 39-year-old won her second road race rainbow jersey. She also won the Giro Donne, Tour de France Femmes and Ceratizit Challenge by la Vuelta.

Van Vleuten won the world road race title despite a broken elbow. She had to work 159 kilometers for Marianne Vos to finish the race. It was the seventh world title in 11 years for the Dutch. It is her first world championship since she won it in 2005.
