The Colorado Rockies and the Arizona Diamondbacks meet in MLB action from Chase Field on Saturday night.

The Colorado Rockies will look to rebound from a 4-1 loss to the D-Backs in Friday’s matchup. Connor Joe has 26 hits and a .271 batting average with 5 doubles, 4 home runs and 2 triples. C.J. Cron has 31 hits with 7 doubles, a triple, a team-high 9 home runs and 24 RBIs while Kris Bryant has 16 hits with 4 doubles as well as a .281 batting average this season. Ryan McMahon has a team-high 7 doubles and Charlie Blackmon has 22 hits with 4 home runs and 12 RBIs of his own up to this point in the season for the Rockies. Randal Grichuk also has 4 home runs and 16 RBIs as well this season. Kyle Freeland will start here and is 1-3 with a 4.85 ERA and 21 strikeouts this season.

The Arizona Diamondbacks will look to build on yet another victory after their triumph over the Rockies from Friday. Daulton Varsho’s got 22 hits, 6 home runs and 13 RBIs this season. Christian Walker has a team-high 6 home runs and 11 RBIs and Ketel Marte has a team-high 9 doubles while David Peralta has 5 doubles and Pavin Smith’s also got 20 hits and has a .274 batting average on the year. Zach Davies will start here and is 1-1 with a 4.24 ERA and 16 strikeouts this season.

Colorado is 4-11 in their last 15 division games and 5-1 in their last 6 games overall while the over is 4-1 in their last 5 road games. Arizona is 7-1 in their last 8 Saturday games and 19-51 in their last 70 division games while the over is 4-1 in their last 5 games overall.

I get the reasoning for backing either side here, but I’m going back to the well with the over here. I’m not at a point where I want to back Zach Davies (even with as well as the D-Backs are playing as of late) and Kyle Freeland’s still had issues with keeping runs off of the board for much of the year. I think this is a game that reaches at least 9 or 10 runs, so give me the over in this one.
