Arsenal to back Mikel Arteta's Premier League title bid and bankroll January transfer splurge

Mikel Arteta wants to add two more players to his squad in January. Stan Kroenke wants them to spend more money. Arsenal have been on a blistering start to the season. They are now two points behind Manchester City. Arteta has been relying on his core group of 15 players. Bukayo Saka and Granit Xhaka have played all 15 games so far this season for Arsenal. Douglas Luiz has recently signed a new long-term contract at Aston Villa.

Arsenal made two unsuccessful bids for Luiz on transfer deadline day. They also contacted Palmeiras about a potential deal for Danilo. Palmmeirs are still involved in the Copa Libertadores and won't sell their star before the World Cup finals. Arsenal are interested in signing Mykhaylo Mudryk and Yeremy.
