A bumper field of 14 are set to go to post in the Gold Cup, the most prestigious race of the week at Royal Ascot. 2021 winner Subjectivist is bidding to regain the title after missing last year’s renewal through injury but Coltrane brings course-and-distance form to the table after success in the Ascot Stakes while St Leger hero Eldar Eldarov looks to add another Group 1 to his CV. `

Sprinter Elite Status bids to give owner Sheikh Mohammed Obaid Al Maktoum another Royal Ascot winner in the opening race on the card, the Norfolk Stakes, while the Ribblesdale Stakes is the second Group 2 of the afternoon.

There are a couple of heritage handicaps courtesy of the Britannia Stakes and King George V Stakes, while Frankie Dettori rides leading fancy Epictetus in the Group 3 Hampton Court Stakes.
