'At some point, I’ll win a stage': Fred Wright’s breakaway of hope and - Rouleur
Fred Wright was in a breakaway on stage eight of the Tour de France. Mattia Cattaneo and Frederik Frison from Lotto-Soudal were his companions. Wright's group was not able to break away from the peloton. Wout van Aert won the stage. The British rider is still looking for a stage win. He is disappointed with his performance. Jumbo-Visma and UAE Team Emirates won stage 8. The gap rarely tipped over the two minute mark. It was the big teams who kept a tight leash on the trio. They were swallowed up with a few kilometres of stage remaining.
