The Medellin local derby will be played on the 15th of October much to the delight of most Colombian football fans. The two teams share the Estadio Atanasio Girardot stadium. Atletico Nacional last league match ended in a defeat away to Union Magdalena (2-1) while Independiente Medellin won against Atletico Huila (2-0).
