Event Preview

The PGA Tour has included the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am on the schedule since 1937. Players will compete across three different courses, each having different pars. The Pebble Beach Golf Links is made up of 6,816 yards and is a par 72. The Spyglass Hill course is also a par 72, but covers 7,035 yards. Meanwhile, the Monterey Peninsula Country Club is played over 6,958 yards and is a par 71.

Tom Hoge landed a first victory at the event 12 months ago, as he held off Jordan Spieth to win by two shots. Spieth has previously claimed victory at the event, with his success coming back in 2017. His record over links courses deserves an awful lot of respect in this event, and it makes him a very solid contender in California.

Maverick McNealy could also be a solid selection for the event this weekend. The 27-year-old finished in a tie for 31 at the Farmers Insurance Open last weekend and has previously shown his quality around the greens at this event. McNealy finished a very close second in the event in 2021, and he once again holds an excellent chance this weekend.

Seamus Power could also be a player slightly over-priced at present. The Irish star performed well at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship to finish in a tie for 20, but he was just eight shots off the lead. He has the consistent all-around game to go very well in California this weekend.

AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am Prediction

There is a lot of value in the betting markets for the event this weekend. Seamus Power is a player that I like a lot, and a chance will be taken on the Irishman. Meanwhile, place value could also be available with Alex Smalley. Smalley finished in top 25 finishes on both his second and third PGA Tour starts last season, and his consistency throughout the end of 2022 is slightly overlooked at his current price.
