Australian Open 2024 dates, schedule and prize money

It’s an ace start to the year for tennis lovers as the world’s best are heading Down Under for the first Grand Slam of 2024.

The Australian Open kicks off the new season in earnest and fans flock to Melbourne Park to catch a slice of the action.

Novak Djokovic is the defending men’s singles champion after beating Stefanos Tsitsipas in last year’s final, although the Serbian faces a scrap for his crown as Wimbledon king Carlos Alcaraz is set to take part after missing out 12 months ago.

Rafael Nadal will not be present, however, as the Spaniard’s swansong season is off to a bad start after suffering a hip injury at the Brisbane International earlier this month.

The women’s singles title, meanwhile, is held by Aryna Sabalenka as the world number two claimed her maiden Grand Slam title at Melbourne Park last January following a tense final with Elena Rybakina.

Australian Open odds can be found on the Paddy Power website and Paddy Power app, otherwise everything you need to know about this year’s first Grand Slam is below.
