Baby hedgehog saved from vile Scots teens who tried to throw him on bonfire

A passerby stopped a gang of teenagers from stomping two hoglets to death in Wishaw, Lanarkshire, on October 2 last year. The three surviving hedgehogs were taken to the Scottish SPCA. One of them died on the way to care. Another one died of intestinal problems. Jack was hand-reared and released in November 2021. He was released back into the wild. He survived the ordeal. It was not possible to identify the youths involved. They could not be identified. A head of the Animal Guardians programme said children mistreat animals for a variety of reasons.
