Bayern Munich vs. Man City Odds, Predictions & Betting Tips

Man City take on Bayern Munich on Wednesday (11:30am BST, CITY+) in a high-profile pre-season friendly clash over in Asia at the Japan National Stadium.

Both clubs enjoyed wins in their opening games, with Erling Haaland bagging a brace in Man City's 5-3 win over sister club Yokohama F. Marinos, while Bayern Munich could only put 27 goals past poor Rottach-Egern.

Below we look at what the odds are saying and pick out our best bet for the game.

Bayern Munich vs Man City Tip

Man City To Win and Both Teams To Score

Man City ran out 5-3 winners over Japanese champions Yokohama F. Marinos in their first pre-season clash, dusting off the cobwebs to bounce back from a 2-0 setback.

Erling Haaland, who blasted in 52 goals in 53 matches last season, came off the bench to score twice, while John Stones, Julian Alvarez, and Rodri each got their names on the scoresheet.

It's difficult to know what to take from Bayern's 27-0 win over Rottach-Egern, in what was evidently a colossal miss-match. Jamal Musiala, Marcel Sabitzer, and Mathys Tel all scored five goals.

When these teams last locked horns City ran out comprehensive 4-1 aggregate winners in the quarter-finals of the Champions League. Being a friendly, Wednesday's game will have a slightly different feel to it, however, with two elite and demanding managers at the helm we should be in store for a decent encounter.

Man City have been favoured by bookmakers to win at 11/10, a draw is 29/10, while a Bayern win is 2/1.

I'm expecting a competitive affair with a few goals, especially given that the likes of Haaland, Alvarez, Jack Grealish, Phil Foden Foden, and Bernardo Silva will all be expected to play at least 45 minutes.

Similarly, Thomas Tuchel has a cluster of stars to call upon - Jamal Musiala, Sadio Mane, and Serge Gnabry to name a few - so there's sure to be plenty of goalmouth action on the cards in Japan.

With that side, I like the 9/4 on offer for Man City to win and both teams to score, courtesy of Boylesports.

City have won 21 of their last 25 matches in all competitions, with the above bet landing nine times, while Bayern have both scored and conceded in six of their last eight matches.
