405 players will go under the hammer at the IPL 2023 auction in Kochi on December 23. All 10 teams will retain their stars they bought at mega auction earlier this year. A few big names - who either opted out of the February auction or have since been released or went unsold - could generate bidding wars among the 10 franchises.

Ben Stokes is a T20 World Cup winner and an allrounder. He has been a regular in the IPL but hasn't been an IPTL regular. The first time that Stoke went under the hammer, he landed himself a deal worth Rs 14.50 crore in 2017.
