Bennedict Mathurin ties NBA record for fewest games to make 40 career 3-pointers
Mathurin is the first player to make at least 40 career 3-pointers and 80 free throws in his first 16 NBA games. He is also the fourth-best odds to win Sixth Man of the Year this season. Mathur in is currently the favorite to be Rookie of Year and Sixth man of year in 2023.
Bennedict Mathurin scored 72 points in his first three games of the season. He became the first Pacer to score 100 points through his five career games. Mathirin's 32 points off the bench against Brooklyn Nets was the most by a Canadian-born player in NBA history. On Monday night, he scored 22 points against Orlando Magic. The Pacers are currently ranked fourth in the Eastern Conference with a 10-6 record.
