Best Last-Minute Bets for College Football Week 14 Odds

The Texas Longhorns need a convincing victory in the Big 12 Championship Game.

Texas enters Saturday at No. 7 in the College Football Playoff rankings and it is guaranteed to jump at least one place with a win over the Oklahoma State Cowboys.

The Longhorns will leap the Oregon Ducks in Sunday's final rankings, but they are not looking for No. 6, they want to be inside the top four.

Texas needs a big win over OK State plus help from the Georgia Bulldogs in the SEC Championship Game and the Louisville Cardinals in the ACC Championship Game to have the clearest playoff case possible.

Georgia is expected to be locked into a high-scoring affair with the Alabama Crimson Tide in Atlanta.

Georgia's offense has been the star of its last few wins and it may need to score in the mid-30s to beat Alabama in Atlanta.

Texas' defense may end up as the most important unit in the Big 12 Championship Game.

The Longhorns allowed 23 points in their last two games and have held three of their last five foes under 17 points.

They possess the fifth-best rushing defense in the FBS, which is a vital stat to note in a matchup with OK State's Ollie Gordon.

Gordon has 1,580 rushing yards and went over the 100-yard mark in every game but one since September 23.

Texas needs to take away Gordon's impact on the game and force the OK State passing game to beat it.

Alan Bowman has 2,808 passing yards this season, but he has one more interception than touchdown pass.

Texas can exploit the weakness of the OK State offense, and that could lead the Cowboys struggling to score.

The Longhorns may have to pad the final score to make it look more impressive in the eyes of the CFB Playoff selection committee, but if their defense limits OK State's offensive potential, it is hard to see a path to the over hitting behind one team's performance.

Three of Texas' last five games would have gone under Saturday's projected total, and if its defense shows up, it could feature in another game in the 40s or low 50s.

A commanding win would give Texas the best shot to leapfrog the Ohio State Buckeyes and make a push for the No. 4 seed.

Georgia enters Mercedes-Benz Stadium with the sixth-best offense in the FBS.

The Bulldogs' offense has been good during their two national championship runs, but it has not been this efficient.

Carson Beck displayed full command of the unit over the last month and that led to four straight 30-point performances during UGA's toughest part of the schedule.

Georgia is expected to score around the 30-point mark again on Saturday versus an Alabama defense that has been suspect at times this season.

Five of the Crimson Tide's last six opponents reached the 20-point mark. The only team not to do so was FCS program Chattanooga.

Alabama must keep pace with Georgia to have a shot at pulling off the upset, and that is possible against a Bulldogs defense that allowed 20 or more points in four of the last six games.

Jalen Milroe will probably be forced to lead a second-half comeback with a ton of passes, which means we could see a ton of second-half plays and some potentially some passing turnovers.

Alabama will push for four quarters, but whether that effort is good enough to beat Georgia and make a run at the CFB Playoff remains to be seen.
