Best MLB prop bets today 7/23/2023

Every team in the MLB will be in action today. With 15 games and 30 teams, choosing what action to bet on may be hard. Here are some of the best props to consider for the games across the country:

We have also saved you the hassle of choosing a sportsbook because we have researched, ranked and reviewed the top MLB sportsbooks and the best promos available to Pennsylvania bettors at each of these sportsbooks.

Here are some of the best props to consider:

Freddie Freeman is one of the hottest hitters in all of baseball and is coming off a two-homer performance last night. He is third in the MLB with a .328 batting average, leading the majors in doubles and eighth in baseball with 70 RBIs.

He’s on a Dodgers team that is first in the National League with 554 runs and also leads the NL with 534 RBIs. These team stats are important for this bet because you can cash in if Freeman reaches base once and then gets batted in by his teammates.

Freeman usually bats seconds in the lineup behind Mookie Betts who has a .317/.429/.651 slash line in the month of July. Hypothetically, one plate appearance can hit the over. A double from Freeman with Betts on base would earn one hit and one RBI.

Lastly, while the sample size is small, Freeman is 3-for-4 with a homer against Martín Pérez who will start for the Rangers today.

This AL East matchup contains the No. 1 and 2 team in the American League. The two teams have hit the over twice through three games this series. On Friday, the Orioles won 4-3 to hit the over and yesterday, Baltimore also won 6-5.

The Rays are fourth in the MLB averaging 5.26 runs per game and they are second in the American League with 572 runs scored. The Orioles are eighth in the majors with 4.93 runs per game average and fifth in the American League with 483 runs scored.

To look at the pitching, Tyler Wells (7-5, 3.54 ERA) takes the mound for Baltimore, and Taj Bradley (5-6, 5.29 ERA) gets the nod for Tampa Bay. These two pitchers’ ERA adds up to higher than the 8.5 line for runs.

Javier Baez is not known for his plate discipline and he likes to chase balls out of the zone. He holds a .228/.264/.341 slash line on the season. His strikeout rate is 22%.

Today, the Tigers shortstop faces Joe Musgrove (9-2, 3.16 ERA) of the Padres. Baez has been terrorized by Musgrove. He has two hits in his 17 at-bats versus Musgrove – good for a .118 batting average and he has struck out twice to the righty.
