Best NBA bets today (Clippers will get road win vs. Hawks)

We have 11 games to watch and bet on this Saturday, and if you’re looking for wagers to make, you’ve come to the right place.

I have three bets I’ve placed across the association today, so let’s not waste any time and jump right into them.

NBA best bets today

  • Rockets +4 vs. Pistons
  • Clippers -110 vs. Hawks
  • Raptors/Trail Blazers OVER 232.5

Rockets +4 vs. Pistons

Sometimes we have to look at the worst games on the board to find the best value. I think that’s the case for today’s Rockets vs. Pistons showdown.

Houston’s road stats are largely better than their home numbers. For example, the Rockets effective field goal percentage increased 1.3% on the road compared to at home.

The Rockets also have a massive rebounding advantage over the Pistons. They rank first in the NBA in rebounding percentage, grabbing 53% of boards, while Pistons rank 17th.

In a toilet bowl of a game, I’ll take the team getting the four points.

Clippers -110 vs. Hawks

The majority of the shots the Hawks take are within two-point range. They rank second in two point shot rate, but now they take on a Clippers team that has a strong interior defense. The Clippers rank 11th in opponent two-point field goal percentage, and they’ve allowed teams to shoot only 48.7% from two-point range over their last three games.

As a whole, the Clippers are the superior defensive team, ranking 10th in defensive efficiency compared to the Hawks at 19th.

I’ll take the Clippers at a pick’em on the road.

Raptors/Trail Blazers OVER 232.5

The Raptors play at one of the fastest paces in the NBA, ranking sixth in field goal attempts per game. The Trail Blazers have also upped their pace as of late, average 89 field goal attempts over their last three games, up from their season average of 84.6.

The Raptors are also one of the worst defensive teams in the NBA, ranking 29th in opponent effective field goal percentage. Portland has struggled defensively lately too, allowing teams to shoot 52.3% from the field against them over their last three games.

I think we’re in for an offensive shootout tonight.

Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.
