Monday NHL Playoffs Parlay Example

An efficient way to find longer odds when using bonus bets is creating a parlay. I’ll toss in one NHL expert best bet for each of Monday’s four Game 1 matchups to create a four-leg parlay:

Florida is a good team that has had issues with what makes the Bruins elite. The Panthers do a wonderful job on the offensive end, but their goaltending and defense is below average. Given how deadly a player like Pastrnak is, it’s the perfect opportunity for him to get his chances.

What is interesting is that Florida has more or less had Boston’s number, going 2-2, which is better than what other teams can say. The Panthers are definitely scrappy, and they can make up for what they lack.

While I think there’s a high chance the Bruins end up on top, don’t be surprised to see the Panthers make it close.

With Sorokin in net, the Islanders have a solid chance to steal a game or two. In my opinion, he is the second-best goaltender in the world, and almost all of his metrics place him somewhere among the top four.

However, there is only so much he can do to compensate for a team in front of him that will be outmatched at every position. He will keep games close, which is why I am avoiding taking the Canes -1.5, although I plan to blindly bet the Hurricanes in this series as long as they stay anywhere south of -190.

The Islanders blue line is no longer what it used to be under former head coach Barry Trotz while the offense remains as lifeless, which will be problematic against perhaps the most dominant two-way team in the league.

At this point in the year, both teams’ identities are relatively firmly established. Dallas is an average offense with an elite first line that is backed by a suffocating blue line and one of the best netminders in the league in Jake Oettinger.

Minnesota features a relatively similar build, though depth is a far greater concern. The Wild possess a below-average offense that is carried heavily by the presence of Kirill Kaprizov while the blue line is solid but typically looks better than it is due to the goaltending tandem of Marc-Andre Fleury and Filip Gustavsson.

With that said, Dallas possesses the better offense, defense and goaltender. Minnesota can keep this series close, but the Stars are a superior team built for a deeper run in these playoffs, and I like them to take care of business on home ice in Game 1.

• Ryan Dadoun on Leon Draisitl over 1.5 points vs. Kings at +122:

Draisaitl had an amazing season in his own right, scoring 52 goals and 128 points in 80 contests. On top of that, he’s been hotter than
McDavid recently, providing eight goals and 27 points in his last 13 appearances. McDavid had seven goals and 22 points over the same 13-game span.

Had you bet on Draisaitl to record at least 1.5 points in each of those contests, you would have been right 69% of the time. He was also amazing during the 2022 playoffs, contributing seven goals and 32 points in 16 outings.

So, believing that he can provide two or more points against the Kings on Monday isn’t unrealistic.

OK, pasting these four bets together nets us a nice +958 odds. Let’s say we deposited $1,000 and bet it using the TOPACTION first bet on the house and it lost. Here are how things would look depending on the result if we were to bet $100 of those $1,000 in bonus bets:
