The second fixture is a rematch of last year’s Champions League Final between Liverpool and Real Madrid. The latter won last year’s competition 1-0 behind a lone goal from tricky Brazilian Vinicius Junior.
Neither team has been at its best this season, although Madrid has played much better than its Scouse counterpart. They are second in Spanish La Liga with a 16-3-3 record, whereas Liverpool is eighth in the English Premier League with a 10-5-7 record. That being said, Liverpool has won two games in a row, one against nearby rivals Everton, and the other against top-five side Newcastle United.
