Betr Expects to Be Part of Ohio's Day 1 Launch
Betr received state approvals on Dec. 16 to go active at 12:01 a.m. on January 1 to offer sports betting in Ohio. Betr is an online betting site headlined by social media influencer Jake Paul. It launched as a free-to-play platform in September. Ohio will be the first state to allow users to wager real money in real-time on the BetR app.
Microbetting allows bettors to make live, in-game wagers on more than just full-games or derivative outcomes. Caesars Sportsbook is teaming up with Simplebet to offer users microbet on NFL, NBA, and MLB games, plus college football and basketball.
DraftKings, Caesars, and bet365 are among 20 mobile sportsbooks that will receive licenses from the state of Ohio. Nine retail sportsbook will open as well.
