It has been raced since 1927, is a grade 1 hurdle, and is the final part of the Triple Crown of Hurdling; the other two are the Fighting Firth Hurdle and the Christmas Hurdle. The Champion Hurdle takes place on the festival’s first day, Tuesday 11th March, and you can watch it at 3:30 pm. The current favourite is State Man.
