BFW Fight Club Mystery: Who did Bayern Munich’s Joshua Kimmich nearly spar with at the World Cup?

Philipp Kessler and Mano Bonke report on Bayern Munich star Joshua Kimmich and his potential captaincy at the club.

Kimmich had a verbal dust-up with a teammate in Qatar. Kimmich has had many verbal spats with his teammates, including Arturo Vidal, Antonio Rüdiger and Marco Reus. He is a vital player for the German national team and could be a candidate to be the captain for both club and country.

Kimmich is a team player and motivates his teammates in training. He sometimes exaggerates with his character and there was a clash between him and another leading player at the World Cup.

Joshua Kimmich was involved in a fight with Niklas Süle at the World Cup. Leon Goretzka and Manuel Neuer were the main players pushing to make a statement regarding the OneLove armband controversy. Thomas Müller and Serge Gnabry struggled during the tournament. Jamal Musiala was fantastic but had some finishing issues.  Kimmich is more of a "pick you up" than "tear you down" kind of teammate. He doesn't seem to jump on a man when he is down. It's unlikely that he had a falling out with Gnabi.

Niklas Süle's position awareness kept Japan onside in the first game. Leon Goretzka and Manuel Neuer were the primary players pushing to make a statement regarding the OneLove armband controversy. Leroy Sané and Serge Gnabry's relationship was strained during the World Cup. Thomas Müller and Leray Sanè's poor performance might have been the reason for their falling out. Kiki Havertz has potential but is not a team leader. He is more of a pick-you-up kind of player. Kamil Gündoğan and Sergio Gudnabiński's team-mate didn't get in sync on the pitch.
