Biggest Upsets in F1 History
Damon Hill's win in 1998 Spa Grand Prix is one of the biggest upsets in Formula 1 history. Olivier Panis' success in the 1996 Monaco Grand prix is considered the other biggest upset. The 2009 season saw a major change in rules and the introduction of new cars. Jenson Button won six of first seven races and won the world championship. The Brawn GP team won two more races later in that year. They also won constructor's championship title. It was a bet placed during pre-season. There were 100/1 bets placed on both Button and his new team. He was leaving the sport at the end of 2008.
