Billy Joe Saunders battling Canelo Alvarez, the odds and the world after controversial week
Billy Joe Saunders is fighting Canelo Alvarez in Dallas this weekend. Alvarez is the WBA and WBC super-middleweight champion. Saunders wants a level playing field. He wanted a British judge, but he got three neutral American ones instead. He got the latter after a threat to fly home.
Billy Joe Saunders and Canelo Alvarez are going to fight on Saturday. Saunders is worried about corruption in boxing. He believes that when Canelos lost to Floyd Mayweather in 2013 one of the judges scored it as a draw. Canilos reckons 90% of England doesn't like him. He was fined for mocking a Mexican reporter and making up rude excuses for not showing up to one media day. The southpaw is a middleweight and super-middleweight world champion. His inactivity in recent years and his opposition at 12st has been levels below someone like Canela. However, he doesn’t regret the behaviour which leaves him unloved.
