Blue Jays: Raimel Tapia and the non-tender question

The Blue Jays activated Hyun Jin Ryu and Vinny Capra and added Nathan Lukes to their 40-man roster. Luks had a good season in AAA, hitting from the left side and with 11 home runs and 61 RBI. The Blue Jay's have 39 players on their active roster now. Orelvis Martinez, Yosver Zulueta and Addison Barger are players I would consider adding to the 40.

The Blue Jays have a few players that could be moved off their roster to make space. Raimel Tapia played 123 games for the Blue Jay this season. He posted a .672 OPS with 30 extra base hits (seven home runs) and 52 RBI. The Dominican product played in all three outfield positions. His best moment came in the 28-5 game against Boston. Tapie is in his last year of arbitration and will be free agent eligible next offseason. MLB Trade Rumours is predicting a $5.2 million contract for next year. The Bluejay's payroll is projected to be around $200 million.
