Blue Jays same-game parlay predictions vs. Red Sox Sept. 15: Bet on Brayan Bello and Boston at +310

Inside The Star

The Toronto Blue Jays aim to rebound after getting swept by the Texas Rangers.

The pregame narrative: The Jays folded when things mattered most and now sit 1.5 games back of a wild-card spot. The Boston Red Sox are in town for a three-game set and the bad times should keep on rolling at Rogers Centre. We're backing Boston to win and are targeting Alex Verdugo and Brayan Bello in the prop market.

Blue Jays vs. Red Sox same-game parlay picks

Parlay: Red Sox moneyline + Bello over 16.5 outs + Verdugo over 0.5 hits (+310)

Red Sox moneyline (+116): The only thing "Next Level" about the Blue Jays is their ability to choke away meaningful games. Toronto was embarrassed by Texas at Rogers Centre over the past few days, losing all four games to the Rangers by a combined score of 35 to 9.

The bats went missing, the pitching imploded, and the fans didn't even show up to fill the building.

Things are grim in Toronto right now and we can't see it getting any better tonight. The Blue Jays are 12-25 against divisional opponents in 2023. That 32.4% win rate is the third worst in baseball, in front of only the Colorado Rockies (22.0%) and Oakland Athletics (28.3%).

Boston isn't a good team by any means but they're 7-3 against Toronto and have hit Jose Berrios for seven earned runs in 11.2 IP this season.

Other parlay picks

Bello over 16.5 outs (-112): The Red Sox just fired general manager Chaim Bloom but we're certain Bello will be a part of Boston's plans moving forward.

The 24-year-old righty has been the team's most reliable starter all season. He owns a 3.68 ERA to pair with a 1.28 WHIP and leads the team with 142.0 innings pitched.

Bello isn't a workhorse but he's reliable to clear this total. In 25 starts he's pitched through 5.2 innings 15 times.

Verdugo over 0.5 hits (-278): Berrios has struggled against this Red Sox lineup and Verdugo has been at the forefront of his problems. Boston's outfielder is 7-for-20 against Berrios with a home run and a double.

Verdugo is in a bit of a rut right now and is only slashing .229/.222/.457 in September. But he still has a hit in six of eight games this month and is batting a respectable .274 on the season.

Berrios has turned in two straight quality starts but they were against the Kansas City Royals and Athletics. He got lit up for 10 earned runs in 12.0 IP in his two outings before that.
