Bookmakers Offering Odds On Who Breaks Damian Lillard Trade

Fans cannot believe there are actually odds out there on the insider who will get to break the Damian Lillard trade news.

The point guard is expected to leave the Portland Trail Blazers this offseason as he has requested a trade, indicating he only wants to go to the Miami Heat. 

It is expected that either ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski or The Athletic’s Shams Charania will be the one who breaks the news first, and the betting odds have them right at the top, with IndyStar columnist Gregg Doyel having tweeted a preview of the odds from SportsBetting.ag.

Shams is slightly ahead of Woj at +110 to +115, with TNT’s Chris Haynes farther off at +575 while +750 odds are available on any other reporter.

Of course, it’s widely expected that the race is between Charania and Wojnarowski. However, there is a Twitter user going by the handle @droppingdimes20 who was the first to dime on some movements earlier in free agency. So maybe he’ll be the reason someone cashes in big.

Meanwhile, bets could also be had on whether the trade goes through before or after July 31.
