Borussia Dortmund vs. Bayern Munich 2023 Bundesliga Predictions, Odds, Picks, and Betting Preview

The first Der Klassiker of 2023/24 is set for Saturday, November 4, at the Signal Iduna Park.

Bayern Munich are still recovering from their spectacular elimination from the German Cup by third-tier Saarbrücken on Wednesday night.

Dortmund have not beaten Bayern in their last ten meetings, but both teams will be looking to maintain their unbeaten Bundesliga records this season.

Bayern narrowly pipped Dortmund to the title on goal difference on the final day of last season. After nine games this season, Bayern have two more points than BVB, but neither of these two giants are top of the table. It's Bayer Leverkusen that sit top.

This season, Dortmund will be looking to right the wrongs of last season, and their start has been great so far. They last won the title in 2011/12 under Jurgen Klopp.

They have an awful record against Bayern, but will be hoping to pile more misery on the champions following their embarrassing defeat in midweek.

Sports BriefDer Klassiker of the 2023/24 season.

Where: Signal Iduna Park

When: Saturday, November 4, 6.30 p.m. CET

Odds: Borussia Dortmund (4.14) vs. Bayern Munich (1.84), Draw (4.29) - view all Bundesliga lines.

Dortmund are unbeaten in the last eight matches in all competitions, and their home form is impeccable. They last suffered a home defeat in the Bundesliga in August 2022. Since then, they've won all but three.

They've won four of their five home games this season and have not tasted defeat in the league this season.

Edin Terzić's side last beat Bayern in 2019. Since then, they've lost nine out of their ten meetings against their bitter rivals.

Bayern were knocked out of the German Cup by third-tier side Saarbrücken in their last match, per the Guardian, and will be looking for a positive reaction against Dortmund.

Thomas Tuchel's side won their 11th straight Bundesliga title last season on the final day and have made a solid start to the season. They hammered Darmstadt 8-0 last weekend, with Harry Kane grabbing his second hat-trick of the season.

They have won seven of their first nine Bundesliga games this campaign. The good news for them is their incredible record against their arch-rivals.

Kane will be making his debut in the derby following his transfer to Bayern in August.

Dortmund have no major absentees, while Bayern will be without Joshua Kimmich, who is suspended after receiving a red card against Darmstadt. Matthijs De Ligt is also expected to miss out after sustaining a knee injury on Wednesday. Another centre-back back, Dayot Upamecano, has been recovering from injury, so he will probably miss out too.

Dortmund possible XI: Kobel - Ryerson, Hummels, Schlotterbeck, Bensebaini - Nmecha, Can (c) - Malen, Reus, Brandt - Füllkrug.

Bayern possible XI

Both teams are unbeaten, and I can't see that changing on Saturday. Therefore, a draw (4.29) is highly likely.
