Queen Elizabeth's love of horses was a feature of her 70-year reign. Her horses won more than 1,800 races. She was an enthusiastic owner and breeder with the Royal Stud at Sandringham estate. A copy of the Racing Post newspaper was said to accompany her breakfast every morning. The queen had an iPad to watch her future racehorses being born in the broodmare stables. She watched one of them win a race on television and yelled it home. It was the tight finish. Security guards burst open the door to find her shouting at the television. it was not an intruder.
