Breeders' Cup spots on offer at Saratoga, Churchill Downs and in France

There are two "Win and You're In" slots for Breeders' Cup races at Saratoga, Del Mar and Churchill Downs. The Jacques Le Marois at Deauville race is the top-shelf event in France. There are also wide-open events for 2-year-olds at DelMar.

The $1 million Thoroughbred race at Arlington International Racecourse is being held on a new turf track. The International Racing Bureau was not employed this year. There are only nine horses trained in the United States. It's the third time since 1990 that the race has gone to the post without a foreign starter. Smooth Like Strait is the 5-2 favorite. At Monmouth Park on Sunday, seven horses are entered for the $100,000 Oceanport Stakes. Two Emmys are in that field. The race is called Mr. D. Stake to honor the late owner Richard L. Luchossois.

Going Global is 6-5 favorite on the morning line for Saturday’s $250,00 Grade 2 Yellow Ribbon Handicap at Del Mar.

Regal Glory and Masen are trained by Chad Brown. They are going to race in the $500,000 Grade I Fourstardave Stakes at Saratoga on Saturday. Casa Creed is also well-respected. Get Smokin and Front Run the Fed complete the lineup for Saturday's heat.

Poppy Flower won the Galway Stakes for 3-year-old fillies at Saratoga by 1 length. Empress Tiger finished second. Feast and Breakthrough are looking for a third straight Monmouth Park win in Saturday's $100,000 Rainbow Heir Stake.

King Fury is the 2-1 favorite for Saturday's $200,000 Fort Larned Stakes at Churchill Downs. Background is 2nd favorite in Sunday's Longacres Mile at Emerald Downs, a race at the old Long Acres Race Course. There's a field of nine for Sunday’s $150,00 Grade III Seagram Cup on the Woodbine all-weather.

Lady Speightspeare is looking to improve her record to 6-for-6 in Saturday's $150,000 (Canadian) Grade III Trillium Stakes at Woodbine. Dreaming of Drew, Lake Lucerne and Lovely Ride are also in the field. Super Quick is the morning-line pick in a field of 11 for Sunday's Groupie Doll Stake at Ellis Park. Last Leaf is 2-1 favorite in big field for the $100,00 RUNHAPPY Audubon Oaks at Gulfstream Park on Sunday.

Bell's the One and Sconsin meet again in Saturday's $200,000 Lady Tak Stakes at Churchill Downs.

Tap It to Win, Souper Stonehenge and Outadore are the favorites for Saturday's $150,000 (Canadian) Grade III Bold Venture Stakes on the Woodbine all-weather. Tap It To Win is cross-entered in Sunday's Seagram Cup at 1 1/16 miles. OutAdore is also cross entered in the Rainbow Heir Stake on Monmouth Park turf. Isolate won the Tale of the Cat Stages at Saratoga. Trainer Tom Amoss won his 4,00th career win.

Procrastination and Absolutely Zero are morning-line favorites for Saturday's $200,000 Grade II Sorrento Stakes at Del Mar. Titoschangedmyluck won Tuesday's Keswick Stake at Colonial Downs. Twelve fillies, plus four also-eligibles, are entered for Sunday's RENEWEDEANTHONIS Park Debutante at Ellis Park. Empire of My Own is the nominal 3-1 favorite.

Gulfport and Damon's Mound are the favorites for Saturday's $200,000 Grade II Saratoga Special. The $125,00 Graduation Stakes for California-breds at Del Mar drew a field of eight after one scratch. Simply Super won the $150, 000 Hickory Tree Stake on Tuesday. Baffert saddles Havnameltdown for Sunday's Ellis Park Juvenile.

Loyalty won the Lady Erie Stakes for 3-year-old fillies at Presque Isle Downs. Majestic d'Oro was second, 3 1/4 lengths better than Chasing Fireflies. Loyalty ran 6 furlongs in 1:09.22 with Luis Contreras up for trainer Josie Carroll. It was her third win from four starts, the other three at Woodbine.
