Brewers vs. Cubs prediction and odds for Tuesday, Aug. 29 (Can Cubbies break Milwauke

The Chicago Cubs dropped Monday’s game against the Milwaukee Brewers, falling five games out of the division lead in the NL Central.

The win was the Brewers’ ninth in a row, and the team is in a great spot to make the playoffs because of this winning streak.

Milwaukee will look to keep that going with righty Corbin Burnes on the mound against All-Star lefty Justin Steele. The Cubs are still in the wild card race, but they need to win some of these games against Milwaukee.

That’s a great deal as the Cubs look to snap this Brewers winning streak.

Here are the odds and my best bet for this matchup:

I broke down this game earlier this week on an episode of Baseball Insiders, and I think it’s a spot where the Cubs can break this streak for the Brewers.

Steele has been great this season, especially at home, where he’s posted a 2.65 ERA.

Meanwhile, the Brewers are just 20th in the league in OPS against left-handed pitching this season.

Milwaukee has been hot on offense as of late, but at some point this steak has to come to an end.

Burnes has struggled mightily in August, posting a 4.74 ERA in four starts, giving up six runs in his last outing.

I’ll take a shot on the Cubs as a favorite on Tuesday.
