Brooklyn Nets over/under for regular-season wins set at 37.5

With training camp more than a month away, fans of the Brooklyn Nets will have to wait some more to see their favorite team in action. While fans are usually either optimistic or pessimistic about their favorite team, there is a sportsbook that believes that Brooklyn will have a losing 2023-24 season.

As of the writing of this article, Aug. 22, BetMGM has the Nets’ over/under for regular-season wins next season set at 37.5. This may seem like a low bar for wins for Nets fans that have seen their team be one of the better teams in the Eastern Conference for the past few seasons.

The Nets finished the 2022-23 regular-season with a 45-37 record, but a good amount of those games came with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving on the roster. Now that those players are elsewhere, Brooklyn will be relying on Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Ben Simmons, and Nic Claxton to improve their games if they are to beat the odds and be a playoff team.
