Bruins vs Jets Prediction

The Boston Bruins will play the Winnipeg Jets on Friday night at the Canada Life Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Boston has lost three of their last four games, while Winnipeg has won three of their last four. Let’s take a look at the betting matchup and the Bruins vs Jets prediction.

Bruins Preview

The Boston Bruins are 19-5-6 this year after they lost to Minnesota in overtime by a score of 4-3 in their last game. Boston trailed 3-2 late in the third period, but was able to force overtime, before losing in the extra period. The Bruins out shot Minnesota by a total of 43-30 and went 1-3 on the power play in the game. Boston lost to the Rangers by a score of 2-1 in the game prior to Minnesota, but defeated the Islanders before that. The Bruins are scoring 3.17 goals per game and they are allowing 2.57 goals against per game, while going 24.5% on the power play and 87.5% on the penalty kill. David Pastrnak has led Boston with 19 goals, 24 assists, and 158 shots on goal. The projected starting goalie for Boston is Linus Ullmark, who is 10-4-2 this year with a 2.86 goals against average and a .912 save percentage.

Jets Preview

The Winnipeg Jets are 19-9-3 this season after they defeated Detroit by a score of 5-2 in their last game. Winnipeg was tied at one early in the second period, but they scored the next three goals to pull away for the win. The Jets out shot Detroit by a total of 41-28 and went 2-2 on the penalty kill in the game. Winnipeg lost to Montreal in the game before Detroit, but defeated Colorado and Los Angeles prior to that. The Jets are scoring 3.35 goals per game and they are allowing 2.58 goals against per game, while going 16.7% on the power play and 74.5% on the penalty kill. Mark Scheifele has led Winnipeg with 12 goals, 22 assists, and 78 shots on goal. The projected starting goalie for Winnipeg is Connor Hellebuyck, who is 15-6-2 this year with a 2.43 goals against average and a .916 save percentage.

Bruins vs Jets Betting Prediction

Boston comes into this game with one of the best records in the NHL and they are 9-3-3 on the road, but they have lost three of their last four games. All four of those games have gone to overtime or a shootout, so they are no stranger to playing close games. Winnipeg has won seven of their last nine games and they are one of the hottest teams in hockey right now. The Jets have allowed two goals or fewer in eight of their last nine games and each team is allowing about 2.57 goals against per game this year. Winnipeg is playing very well right now and I like them to pick up another win here.
