The Denver Nuggets play host to the Milwaukee Bucks at the Ball Arena on Saturday night.
The Milwaukee Bucks have been in great shape as they’ve won eight of their last 10 games overall and they will be gunning for a fourth straight victory after blowing past the Jazz in a 144-116 road win last night. Grayson Allen led the team with 25 points on eight of 14 shooting, Giannis Antetokounmpo tallied 24 points with 11 assists on 10 of 13 shooting while Pat Connaughton chipped in with 22 points on eight o f 12 shooting. As a team, the Bucks shot 55 percent from the field and 22 of 50 from the 3-point line as they set the tone with 40 points in the first quarter to jump out to an early double-digit lead, before they exploded for 43 points in the third quarter to lead by as many as 36 points.
Meanwhile, the Denver Nuggets have been in decent shape as they’ve won three of their past four games overall and they will be aiming for a third straight victory after routing the Wizards in a 118-104 road win on Wednesday. Nikola Jokic led the team with 31 points, 12 rebounds, seven assists and three steals, Michael Porter Jr. added 21 points while Jamal Murray tallied 17 points with six rebounds and eight assists. As a team, the Nuggets shot 50 percent from the field and 15 of 32 from the 3-point line as they struggled to get going and trailed going into halftime, before the dominated the third quarter by 39-16 to jump out to an unassailable 23-point lead.
Looking at the betting trends, the Bucks are 11-1 ATS in their last 12 road games, 10-1 ATS in their last 11 games playing on zero days rest and 1-4 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning record. The Bucks will again be shorthanded as Khris Middleton is still out, while the Nuggets are still without Collin Gillespie. The Bucks have continued to run through teams on a nightly basis and they will be full of confidence after demolishing the in-form Jazz last night. The Nuggets look to have moved on from their slump with three wins in their last four games and they should be well-rested as they haven’t played since Wednesday. It’s hard to split these two squads at the moment as the Bucks are 11-1 ATS in their last 12 road games, while the Nuggets are 15-6 ATS in their last 21 home games. You can make an argument for either side here, but I’m leaning towards the Bucks to stay hot with another win here.
