Celtic and Rangers are back in training ahead of the Scottish Premiership resumption on December 15th. Ange Postecoglou's team are fresh off the back of competing in the Sydney Super Cup in Australia. Rangers have returned from a two-week mid-season break with Michael Beale taking over the reigns at Ibrox.

Greenock Morton want to sign former Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths. Griffith has been without a club since his short stint in Australia. He was training with Livingston to keep his fitness. Morton are second in the Championship table. They are one point behind the leaders Ayr United. Celtic have reached an agreement with Montreal to bring Alistair Johnston on a permanent deal.

Albian Ajeti has enjoyed a new lease of life in Austria after his loan spell at Sturm Graz. He claims the Austrian league is better than Scottish football. He made just 13 league starts since his £4.5m move from West Ham in 2020. The Swiss international believes the league in Scotland is too physical. In Austria the ball gets moved faster and the tackles are stronger.

Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent are out of contract at the end of the season. Michael Beale wants to keep them but he's not impressed with their performances this season and wants them to earn new deals. He's also keen to create a stronger Rangers going forward with or without them. The club has already dealt with Connor Goldson's situation.

QPR fans are worried that Leon Balogun will be heading back to Ibrox in January. Balogun missed yesterday's friendly with Livingston. The experienced Nigerian centre-back was released by Glasgow club at the end of his contract. He was signed by Michael Beale as one of the first summer signings at English Championship club.
