Championship 2023/24 promotion odds after Leicester City and Leeds relegated

Leicester City have been installed as the early favourites to win the Championship title next season and clinch an immediate return to the Premier League.

City were relegated from the top flight on Sunday after a 2-1 victory over West Ham United at the King Power Stadium was not enough to save them from the drop. Everton beat Bournemouth 1-0 to secure a final day escape.

Leicester, of course, won the Premier League title seven years ago, but now find themselves back in the EFL for the first time in almostr a decade. They are joined by Leeds United and Southampton, while Burnley, Sheffield United and Luton Town will replace them after earning promotion from the Championship.

It has not taken long for the bookies to open the markets on next season's Championship promotion race. And Sky Bet have Leicester 5/1 favourites to take the title, just ahead of Leeds (11/2).

Southampton and Middlesbrough are joint third favourites at 10/1, followed by newly-promoted Ipswich Town, Norwich City, Watford and West Bromwich Albion at 14/1.
