The season is in the stretch run with Notre Dame football. The team is on a bye week. They take on Brigham Young in Las Vegas. The game seems straightforward for the first time since the Marshall game.

Notre Dame faces a team that rides or dies on its quarterback and passing game. Quarterback Jaren Hall has made a name for himself this season. He's done so without his two best receivers for a majority of the season, Gunner Romney and Puca Nacua. Their offensive line is one-dimensional, they can't run block and they get no push whatsoever. They have only 144 yards on 57 rushes against the P5 teams. The team's best receiver is Pucu Nucua, but his availability is limited.

BYU's defense is bad. They have 21 penalties in the last two games. The team has a lack of pass rush. BYU has just 10 QB hurries on the season. They are not a good tackling team. Their last 2 opponents have lost. If either of their last games had a pulse, they would have three losses. Notre Dame has 22 penalties for 203 yards on season, compared to BYU's 21 for 191 yards.

Notre Dame is coming off a win over North Carolina. Drew Pyne should be able to keep making good choices and hit the throws he needs to hit. BYU is a team that has issues tackling. Benjamin Morrison makes his first start. He and Cam Hart will be tasked with defending some very talented receivers. The defense might not put up the sack numbers they had the last two games but they should still have a good day at the office.

Notre Dame is coming off the bye week and should be laser-focused. They should play their game and run the football. The result should not be surprising.
