Chelsea star latest to be targeted by Saudi Arabia in stunning £86 million-a-year deal

Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante could leave the club this summer despite the club's willingness to offer him a new deal.

French star Karim Benzema has recently swapped the Spanish League for the Saudi Arabia Pro League having been offered a staggering £172 million-a year-wages.

The Arabs have also been linked with Lionel Messi who recently left PSG with reports that the Argentine could earn around a record-breaking £320 million a year wage in the Saudi Pro League.

Chelsea are determined to keep Kante and have been in discussion with the midfielder- but the latest offer which is in the region of £86 million wage is one that is said to have turned heads in the midfielder’s camp.

The fact that the 2018 World Cup winner is also a Muslim also seems to influencing discussions as Saudi Arabia look to raid Europe for some of the best talents.

Cristiano Ronaldo , who first moved there after the World Cup has recently said he wants to continue playing there having enjoyed his time in the Arabian Gulf.

Kante is widely considered as one of the best midfielders of this generation having won almost every trophy available including the World Cup and the Champions League.

He was also one of the best performers at Leicester when they defied the odds and won the Premier League before repeating the trick at Chelsea, helping Antonio Conte to a Premier League triumph.

Chelsea are at a crossroads where they are looking to rebuild their team after a disappointing first campaign and have hired former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino as their new manager.
